Memories From the Heart in Delavan, Wisconsin.
Memories From the Heart is owned and operated by Linda Siert, but that tells only a fraction of the story. In 1997 Linda owned a high-end gift shop in her present location, and ended up having to buy the entire building. So she and her daughter decided a Paper Shop would be marvelous in their new expanded space. But her daughter pointed out the ever-increasing popularity of scrapbooking, and so they decided it would be a Scrapbook Store (one of the very first in the Midwest), dedicated to preserving memories, which is such a vitally important aspect of our lives.
Memories From the Heart offers a full range of ever-changing classes and very enthusiastic instructors. If you live in the area, you'll want to take one of Nicole's mini-scrapbook classes, or learn something new with Mary or Jennifer in their Anna Griffin class. And if you're stymied for what direction to go, sign up for Sherri's "Unlock Your Block" classes, which are very popular. Along with the above ladies, Sarah and Beth help spread the enthusiasm for paper arts through their work in the store and classes.
Or maybe you'd like to sign up your children for the Kids Surprise Gift Class at Christmas (We can't tell you what they're making-- it wouldn't be a surprise!), or one of the Kids Camp workshops.
The most important thing we learned from Linda is what a true labor of love this shop is for her and her ladies. It's obvious that Linda considers this a ministry and a way of reaching out to touch lives. Her joy in what she does shines through.
